Peruse our Louisville Marriott restaurant reviews to read what critics and everyday diners have to say about BLU Italian Grille and Champion’s Sports Bar & Grill.
Blu Italian Grille:
"Louisville has slowly been gaining a reputation as a city with prodigious restaurants. I have been dining in some of Louisville’s best-kept secrets for many years now, and I must say it’s quite an experience. On last Thursday, I was invited to attend the Blu Italian Grille presents a Wagner Family of Wine Dinner. If you are searching for a culinary experience like no other, look no further than Blu Italian Grille. Nestled inside the downtown Marriott .
Altogether, the dining experience beautifully paired with brilliant wine choices make we want to come back week after week. The exceptional service and knowledge of the menu left me feeling well versed and ready to explore Italy and its great food and wine. BLU Italian Grille is a place you have to come experience for yourself, whether with friends or that special someone. "The staff there was just great. Food was wonderful and full of flavor as I remembered the foods in Italy."- dined on 11/16/2012
"The food was wonderful and the service was outstanding. We really enjoyed the evening and look forward to going back again soon!"- dined on 11/10/2012
“The food and service was outstanding. Steak was done to perfection and my Wife's Seafood rizzoto was incredible. The lobster was perfectly cooked and very sweet. It was truly an outstanding experience.” dined with us 10/6/12
“A very nice dining offering in The Louisville Marriott. Chef Charles presented beautiful dishes that were expertly prepared. Grilled shrimp in citrus marinade and espresso-dusted grilled pork chop were outstanding. The dessert cart was a fantasy for pastry lovers, with a wide variety and large portions. It was quiet on a Tuesday night at 9, but lovely. Thanks to Brian for a very professional level of service.” dined with us 9/25/12
“We were staying at the Marriott on W. Jefferson recently, and were too tired to drive out to dinner. We decided to eat at the hotel restaurant, Blu. We both ordered the filet mignon- it was divine! The cheese sauce on top of the steak, the potato cake, the asparagus- all were superb touches to accent a perfectly cooked, delicious steak! We had the french press coffee later- cute tray of extras given- chocolate whipped cream, rock candy stirrer, cinnamon stick etc. Very very nice restaurant! Was not busy on a Thursday night- and should be, as the food is excellent. Service was quick, respectful. Manager checked on us twice as our server was new, but he was doing an excellent job. Take the time to eat here. “ dined with us 9/18/12
“We dined once before at Blu for Valentine's Day and had a great time. We had the pleasure of dining on Easter for brunch - it was amazing! Our server was really a gem - who gave us the lay of the land with some tips on her favorites. We tried a little bit of everything except the pasta station...by that time, we were stuffed. The desserts are absolutely amazing at Blu. I picked up the chocolate bomb for my husband (a die hard chocolate connoisseur) and he only got mid-way through it was so decadent. I had a white chocolate torte with pistachio and it was to die for!
Always a great time when we visit Blu! Thanks again! “
Champions Sport Bar
“There is freshly popped popcorn available to snack on while you wait for your dinner. I have had several salads here and all have been good. They are fresh, tasty, and large enough to fill your stomach easily. It is a healthy, reasonably priced alternative to other downtown dining... And in a fun, sports-bar setting.”
“I was in Louisville on business, and my co-workers told me to check this place out before I went back home. The burgers here are awesome! This is a really cool sports bar. Service is great, too.”
“Great sports bar with big screen tvs and projector screens. Sports fan delight”
“It's not to imagine, but this Pub is one of the more popular places to visit in downtown Louisville. From about 8pm on, the bar is active and has a good flow of Patrons. The food is good and the selection at the bar is excellent.”
